Wolfpack Fitness & MMA

MMA Fitness classes are designed to teach discipline, technique and form of MMA, boxing, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu and wrestling. Classes will increase strength, endurance, flexibility, core strength and knowledge of MMA.

Classes are designed for all individuals from the couch potato to the ultra-athlete. We ask that you leave your ego at the door and come ready to work hard and learn. Classes will focus on technique and at times will have contact, but there will be no sparing or hard grappling in regular classes unless the participant wants to. Not everyone is required to be punched or grapple all out or at all.

Gear is available and on hand. If we are out, we can order and have it shipped to the gym. We carry high quality gear at the best prices.

Wrestling

Traditional wrestling with a focus on MMA.  Focusing on take downs and take down defense, you will master basic high percentage moves such as single and double leg takedowns, and keeping a good base while controlling your opponent once on the ground. Classes are an hour and a half giving ample time to warm up with drills that improve body awareness and body control, ground awareness, movement of techniques and get the body properly warmed up for drilling techniques.  At the end of each class is a “live” session where you will be able to put your skill to the test and practice the techniques in real time.

Boxing

Traditional boxing style training focusing on head movement, foot work and combinations, with an emphasis on shoulder endurance, core strength and cardiovascular endurance. Each class includes a warm up, skill training and a cardio component to close.

Kickboxing

Traditional American kickboxing and Muay Thai style training instruction including utilizing the clinch, knees and elbows, finishing boxing combinations with kicks, push kicks and kicking defense. Each class includes a warmup, skill training and a cardio component to close.

Jui-Jitsu

No gi, American and Brazillian style jiu-jitsu classes are structures to focus on the basics. Learning proper technique allows one to manipulate an aggressor and defend themselves against any predator or opponent, regardless of size. These classes contain a warm up that will increase balance, coordination, and flexibility. The techniques will teach submissions such as chokes and manipulation of joints from both the top and bottom positions.  To conclude each class, participants will “roll” to practice the moves in real time.
