15 Minute Warm Up:

TRX Yoga Fusion begins with 15 minutes of sun salutation sequences to thoroughly warm up the body.  The Sun Salutation, or Surya Namaskara (SOOR-yuh nah-muh-SKAR-uh), is a series of poses performed in a sequence to create a flow of movement. Each pose coordinates with your breathing: Inhale to extend, and exhale to bend. Sun Salutations are a great way to energize the body first thing in the morning. These Sun Salutations will improve blood circulation, purify your blood, and strengthen the physical body. The lungs, digestive system, as well as muscles and joints, will all benefit from practicing Sun Salutations.

30 Minute TRX Resistance Training:

The TRX System, also known as Total Resistance exercises, refers to a specialized form of suspension training that utilizes equipment developed by former U.S. Navy SEAL Randy Hetrick. TRX is a revolutionary workout method that uses your body weight and gravity as resistance to build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core, and joint stability. TRX also improves mobility, endurance, and heart strength.

Weight Loss – If you are looking for a quick trick to shed some excess belly fat, TRX is a good place to start. Unlike almost any other training system available, TRX Suspension Training challenges your entire body in all planes of motion creating a huge metabolic effect and helps you build lean, toned muscle.

Building Strength – When it comes to building overall muscle strength and power, traditional resistance training and TRX work equally well, but TRX might be more effective for preventing sports injuries than lifting weights on machines because it is more “functional;” it exercises groups of muscles rather than isolating individual ones.

15 Minute Cool Down:

Yin yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods (3-5 minutes) of time than in other styles.

Benefits of a Yin Yoga Practice Includes:

  • Calms and balances the mind and body.
  • Reduces stress and anxiety.
  • Increases circulation.
  • Improves flexibility.
  • Releases fascia and improves joint mobility.
  • Balances the internal organs and improves the flow of chi or prana.
